No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Hosting
We've resolved the problem of silent data corruption on all of our hosting servers by using the hi-tech Z file system, or ZFS. The latter is better than other file systems since it is the only one out there that checks all the files in real time by using a checksum - a digital identifier that's unique for each and every file. When you upload content to your account, it'll be stored on several NVMe drives and constantly synchronized between them for redundancy. ZFS regularly examines the checksum of all files and if any file is detected as damaged, it's replaced promptly with a good copy from some other disk. As this happens in real time, there is no risk that a bad file may remain or may be duplicated on the remaining NVMes. ZFS requires plenty of physical memory in order to perform the real-time checks and the benefit of our cloud hosting platform is that we employ multiple powerful servers working together. If you host your Internet sites with us, your information will be intact no matter what.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you acquire one of our semi-dedicated hosting solutions, you will not have to be concerned about silent data corruption since we use ZFS - an advanced file system that keeps track of all the files in real time. Every time you upload a file to your account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. The file will be synced between several NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all the copies on the different drives and in case it detects a corrupted copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from a different drive. This is done right away, so there will be no threat for any part of your content at any time. By comparison, other file systems carry out checks after a system failure, but since they do not use anything similar to the checksums that ZFS uses, they won't detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy may be replicated on the rest of the disks as well and you may lose precious info. Since this is not the case with ZFS, we can guarantee the integrity of each and every file you upload no matter what.
